Insider Tips for Attending BottleRock

Getting to the Show

Be ready for increased traffic on the roads leading to the valley. If you are driving in for the day, be sure to get to the event early so you have time to find parking. Paid parking lots close to the venue are available for purchase ahead of time (free for Premium ticket holders), though the options usually sell out quickly. If you get into Napa early enough each day, it's possible to find all-day street parking spots on the outskirts of Downtown Napa, just be sure to look for restricted parking areas.

If you are staying close enough to the venue to bike, complimentary bicycle parking is available – don't forget to bring your own lock.

If you prefer to use Uber or Lyft, the Rideshare Pickup Zone is located at the intersection of 3rd St. and Randolph St., though beware of surge pricing and long wait times. Shuttle buses to and from the venue are also available at many locations throughout the Bay Area for ticket holders – from San Francisco, Sacramento, Oakland, San Jose, Fairfield, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Mill Valley, and Palo Alto.

Pack Like a Pro

Before you leave home, pay attention to the bag policy for the type and size of bag you're allowed to bring in. You can reserve a locker to hold the belongings you don't want to carry all day – you'll have all-day access and cell charging stations available.

The items you should absolutely bring with you include: a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen – you'll be in the California sun all day, and keep in mind that General Admission has limited shade. A jacket for nighttime is essential – the temperature in Napa Valley drops significantly after sundown each night. Bring a reusable water bottle (needs to be empty at security, no glass or disposable bottles permitted) – several free refilling stations are available throughout the festival grounds. A portable phone charger can come in handy for a long day of taking photos and videos. Toilet paper and hand sanitizer aren't a bad idea either, in case the portable restrooms run out.

Most importantly, don't forget to bring your festival wristband!
